Fred C. Ruiz, CLU, ChFC, is a lifelong resident of northwest Indiana. Fred grew up in St. John, IN and attended Lake Central School Corp. schools where he was a champion high school wrestler and President of his class. He earned his Chartered Life Underwriters and Chartered Financial Consultant designations from the American College, Bryn Mawr, PA.

Fred entered the financial services industry in 1972 and received his basic training with Prudential, Chicago Ordinary Agencies. He specialized in retirement planning and estate planning for individual clients. In 1982, he left Prudential to begin his own firm. In 1993, Fred founded Oak Investment Services, Inc.

 

Fred now specializes in the senior market, doing retirement planning, asset allocation and investment plans. He is a member and Past President of the local Society for Financial Service Professionals, has served on Lake Area United Way committees, and is a member of the Merrillville, and Greater Valparaiso Chambers of Commerce. Fred and his wife Verna have two grown sons and a daughter and live in Porter County.
